who we are

Korora is a community choir family based in Edmonton, Alberta. We offer musical growth and performance opportunities through seven choirs for singers aged 5 to adult. Known for innovative performances, wide-ranging repertoire, and musical excellence, Korora believes in the power of music to create diverse, inclusive, and strong communities.

Korora is more than just music-making — it means opening up your heart and taking risks.

calling all alumni!

We are so excited to welcome past members of all our choirs back for our 30th anniversary celebration, Belonging, taking place on March 6-7, 2026.

Registration is now open for any alumni wishing to join us for the weekend. Come back home and sing with us! We will have a brief rehearsal with you on Friday evening, then two concerts on Saturday (2 PM and 7 PM) where you will be invited to sing on stage with our choirs and enjoy a beautiful trip down memory lane, as well as premiering a brand-new work by our own alum Jennifer McMillan. Saturday morning will feature a brunch and plenty of time to catch up with your pals from seasons past.

Your registration includes your concert ticket. Please click the registration link below for more information!

Kokopelli is now Korora

We have a new name and a new visual identity! The name change applies to the organization as a whole as well as to our youth choir. All our other ensembles are keeping their names. We are so excited to move forward in this new way together!

Keep the music flowing

We acknowledge that all our choirs gather to sing and perform on Treaty Six territory, which is the traditional and ancestral meeting ground of many Indigenous peoples including the Cree, Dene, Blackfoot, Nakota Sioux, and Saulteaux. We acknowledge this land is also home to the Métis Settlements and the Métis Nation of Alberta.

Korora develops and builds equitable spaces. Read our statement of equity.
